// Load Monitoring

safety

Load monitoring

ITEM load monitoring systems continuously verify correct positioning, attachment points, weight balance and load profile.
These are checks the operator often makes by eye, with wide margins of error.

A vision system makes the check repeatable and much safer, without entirely removing the operator’s contribution.

Vision system for load monitoring

Correct positioning

Verification of correct load positioning and of attachment points before lifting.

Dimensions and balance

Checks on correct load dimensions and on weight balance.

Profile and type

Profile checks and load type recognition.

Position detection

Vision systems equipped with 1 or more cameras

Verifying positioning and clearances on all 3 axes requires 3D vision and a highly accurate distance estimate.
For this purpose we build custom depth cameras with one or more sensors, choosing the architecture to suit the case.

With Mono3D we work on loads of known dimensions, with accuracy up to 1 cm at 4 meters; with the Bi3D stereo pair on any load, with millimeter accuracy.

Communication with the cab

How information travels through the machine’s systems

Checks can appear on a cab monitor or on an interface already present on board. Our monitors reach 1,500 nits, in sizes from 5″ to 20″, with a touchscreen version.

Where needed, we interface with the machine PLC through any industrial protocol.

environment

Ultra-rugged systems for extreme environments

The cameras are designed and manufactured by us: ECE R10 certified, IP68 rated at 2 atm, type-approved by the Ministry of Transport, anti-fog by design, rated for military-grade temperature ranges.

For specific environments we build ATEX, pressure-resistant, heated or liquid-cooled versions.
