Over the past 30 years, we’ve had the opportunity to deploy our products in some of the most extreme environments on the planet, developing Custom Cameras and Vision Systems tailored for demanding applications.
This experience gives us the capability to meet even the toughest environmental challenges, packaging our products to ensure they perform reliably and withstand the harshest conditions—on Earth and beyond.
Our Vision Systems have been used in Italian Nuclear Power Plants of Trino Vercellese and Caorso, during their operational phases. In particular, our cameras are certified for use in the cooling pools of nuclear facilities as safety and surveillance devices.
Thanks to our patented technologies, we ensure maximum radiation resistance, along with the reliability and durability required for such sensitive environments.
Our cameras have also been installed inside industrial blast furnaces to monitor production processes, withstanding temperatures of up to 2000°C.
They deliver unmatched performance in terms of durability and process control.
For the CNR-IRBIM in Ancona, ITEM developed cameras capable of reaching depths of 2000 meters in open sea, engineered to withstand extreme underwater pressure (nearly 200 atm).
